Kelli – semester program to the USA

I am having an amazing time in the USA! School is so good, I catch the big yellow bus and have five classes a day and each of those go for an hour and a half! Which is a lot longer than my school at home. We get one half hour lunch where everyone goes to the cafeteria and chats. I have also just started playing softball, which is difficult but I am slowly catching on. I have made heaps of friends and get along really well with my host family. I have just come back from Seattle, Washington and I went up the sky needle and saw some other cool things. For spring break me, my host mum and Leonie (my friend) are off to California for a week! And in two weeks I get to see one of my favourite bands live in Portland, which is another thing to look forward too. In the USA, there is such a variety in subject selection. I take mythology, American government, anatomy, biology, drama, global studies and algebra. Another exciting experience was seeing snow for the first time ever! Before school, me and my friends were throwing snow balls and they thought it was funny I was so excited. They impersonated me, accent and all. I am telling anyone considering doing exchange to the USA to do it, it is such a great experience to feel free to add me if you have any questions and to keep updated on my experience! Kelli
