How Can I Be Involved?

There is more to WEP student exchange programs than being an exchange student or hosting an international student!

Local Coordinators

WEP coordinators are an invaluable and a highly appreciated part of the student exchange experience. Their role is multifaceted and includes:

  • Providing local support to host families and exchange students
  • Monitoring student adjustment and assimilation into their Australian families and schools
  • Interviewing host families
  • Interviewing outbound students

Although a volunteer role, WEP coordinators are reimbursed for expenses. Importantly, coordinators enjoy the opportunity to share the experiences of exchange students and their generous, warm-hearted, volunteer host families.

The WEP coordinator role is rewarding, flexible, educational and fun!

Returned Students

School presentations, talking to prospective students and parents, helping out at departure orientation sessions and WEP information nights are just some of the ways returned students stay in touch with WEP and help promote student exchange.

Employment at WEP

From time to time we have employment opportunities available both in our head office and interstate. If you are interested in joining our team please send a current CV and cover letter to info@wep.org.au.
