Introduction

Exchange WEP+ / Centre

This program will see you fully immersed into the Italian culture for a short term period, semester or an academic year. Exchanging what you know for something foreign is not always a simple task, but it can be extremely rewarding. By going abroad, living with a host family in Italy and attending a local secondary school, you'll gain insight into the country’s customs and culture, and learn Italian while building meaningful friendships along the way!

A WEP+ program offers an additional level of choice. In Italy, you can can choose to be placed in one of four regions: Northern Italy, Central Italy, Southern Italy or Italian Islands.

ACT & NSW Regulatory Guidelines state that secondary exchange programs must include a minimum of 10 weeks of schooling overseas. ACT & NSW students looking for a shorter experience can apply for our cultural immersion programs (available for November departures only). It's important to note that we adhere to the same quality standards for all our programs.

Many tourists visiting the Trevi Fountain throw three coins into the fountain to make wishes. Around €3,000 worth of coins are collected each day, with the funds donated to various charities. 
  • Vatican City is the world's smallest independent nation state. Vatican City has its own phone system, post office, banking system and radio station! There is no income tax and all supplies, including water, gas and food must be imported.
