WEPisode #6: Molly In Italy

Caitlyn – year program to Spain

I’m just e-mailing you to tell you how my stay in Spain is going. It’s absolutely amazing! I have made tonnes of new friends and my family is fabulous. The culture is amazing and they way we live here is so smart. Like bread that comes with no crusts. Best thing anyone has ever made.

I haven’t had any culture shock and I settled in straight away. My host family have been amazing. I’m really close with my sisters and we are so alike. My parents are very very nice and help me as best they can. I do as many job as around the house as I can, even more than my sisters at times.

School is great. Boring but great. Everyone wants to be friends with “The Australia girl”! Most of my teachers are nice but I think there will always be a teacher or two who aren’t so great. The question I am asked the most is “Do you miss your friends and family in Australia?” My reply is always “No!” This shocks everyone.

My name is very hard for everyone to pronounce. So I am often called “Catie” or just “C”.

I would really like to thank you for this opportunity. It is the best decision I have ever made. I’ve already learned so many skills and I know there is still more to come! I didn’t really know what to expect before I came here as I wanted to keep an open mind. But I have to say this is better than I expected.
