Annabelle – short term France
The start of my exchange has been amazing. The first few days in Paris were exceptional and I was thankfully for the effort the team had put into making our experiences unique (Grand Rex, dinner cruise, shopping time).
The sights were amazing (obviously) but in the end my favourite part was being able to connect with students from all around the world. It was amazing to talk with each other about school, food, music and so much more.
Arriving at my host family was hard because I was so exhausted from the long days and late nights in Paris but they were amazing and I fit in straight away. I was thankful for a few days to pull myself together before starting school and facing new challenges. I love my family so much and I am so thankful for them.
Although I miss my family in Australia a lot I am ok and I know that when I am tired everything feels so much worse than it is so, I do my best not to think about them then.
School is really hard and extremely tiring and I was not completely prepared for that. I have good friends and my class is really nice so it’s ok but the days are long and class is hard.
Overall I am doing amazingly and I love France!
