Christmas was amazing. I was a bit worried about the food to start off with. My host dad said we would be eating snails and I wasn’t sure how my stomach would handle it. Thankfully my grandmother doesn’t like snails so we didn’t have them. Apart from the foie gras everything else was amazing especially the desserts. I’m really going to miss them :) I spent the week of Christmas/ New Years travelling around and visiting different places and family. I especially loved Chambéry it was so beautiful.

School has started back again today and of course I woke up to a few centimetres thick of snow. I fell over a couple of times and had to laugh at myself. I still don’t understand why they go to school between 8 and 6 it seems crazy even some of the teachers that I talk to think it’s insane also.

I’m still finding the language difficult but I’m learning, little by little. Some things that I learnt in French class actually make sense to me now. I can easily pick out key words and make sense of them. Can't believe that over half of my time has gone already and that I only have 5 weeks left.
